Ween Turns Hollywood Brown With Classic Tunes And Motörhead Tribute [Setlist/Gallery]

first_imgLoad remaining images Last night, Ween kicked off a three-night run in California with a one-off performance at the famed Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA. What followed was a fantastic arrangement of classic Ween tunes, opening with the fan-favorite “Pork Roll Egg and Cheese” before bringing out classics like “The Golden Eel” and “Mutilated Lips.”The show interestingly featured – a rare event for Ween these days – as the band launched into Motörhead’s “Ace Of Spades.” Though Motörhead was founded in England, Lemmy Kilmister had lived in Los Angeles from 1990 until his death in 2015. No doubt the song was played in tribute to him.The remainder of the set featured tons of Ween classics, like “The HIV Song,” “Buckingham Green,” “Bananas and Blow” and an encore that ended with “Transdermal Celebration” and “The Mollusk.” You can check out the full setlist below, as well as a full gallery by Steve Rose Photography.Setlist: Ween at the Hollywood Palladium, Hollywood, CA – 10/13/16Set: Pork Roll Egg and Cheese, The Golden Eel, Mutilated Lips, Exactly Where I’m At, Push th’ Little Daisies, Big Jilm, Ooh Va Lah, Ace Of Spades, I Can’t Put My Finger On It, Woman and Man, The Stallion Pt. 1, Japanese Cowboy, Papa Zit, Mister Would You Please Help My Pony?, The HIV Song, Buckingham Green, Your Party, Bananas And Blow, A Tear For Eddie, She Fucks Me, Stroker Ace, Gabrielle, You Fucked Up, I’ll Miss You, Captain Fantasy, Don’t Get Too Close (2 My Fantasy)Encore: Fiesta, Touch My Tooter, Transdermal Celebration, The Mollusklast_img
