The recording comes from day one of the festival, held in Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, FL, and captures the band nailing a number of Grateful Dead classics on January 14th, 2017.The show starts off with a heady jam into “Reuben & Cherise,” before settling in on classics like “Eyes Of The World” and “(Turn On Your) Lovelight,” the latter of which features vocalist Alecia Chakour. They keep the blues coming with “Alligator” and “Cumberland Blues,” before breaking out into a bawdy “Shakedown Street.” From there, it’s “Greatest Story Ever Told,” which heads into an improvisational segment and comes back to close out the set with a rollicking “One More Saturday Night.”Check out the full audio shared by the band, streaming below, with a special thanks to taper Eric McRoberts.Setlist notes:@ – With a “Duo Jam”, a “Shortnin’ Bread” (James Whitcomb Riley) Tease (MB) & Ruben & Cherise Teases/Jam (TH & Band)# – Contained elements of “No Quarter” (Led Zeppelin) from MB & One More Saturday Night (TH)Like seeing Joe Russo’s Almost Dead on the beach?
