first_imgNZ Herald 27 August 2014Labour wants drivers’ licences and passports in New Zealand to offer three gender options. It also wants laws changed so that couples in de facto relationships and in civil unions can adopt, whether same-sex couples or heterosexual couples. And it wants better support for young people who are bullied over their sexual identities.Labour MP Louisa Wall last night released the party’s rainbow policy, aimed at ending discrimination against gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender and intersex people (GLBTI).Since 2011 Australian passports have offered three gender options: male, female and indeterminate.
